What I thought v. Reality

So, sometimes I feel like I should write a new post because I haven't in a while, and then I feel like I don't have anything interesting or profound to post. So what do I do? What a conundrum!

I think I shall post. I doubt I've ever said anything profound anyway, so I might as well continue with the shallow posts I have been posting. hahh

So, today being President's Day, there is no school and I have been sitting around all day. I did manage to get to the grocery store and deliver some brownies to my aunt for her birthday (which was yesterday), but you know, it's the thought that counts right?

So, I always try to make some food that I can just pack in a tupperware and take to school with me throughout the week, because it's too hard to try and cook something everyday, and since today is a free-ish day before the start of the week I decided to make some breaded chicken nuggets that I could add to salad or just take by themselves. I found a recipe online, which was really easy to follow, cut chicken, dip in flour, dip in egg, dip in breadcrumbs, fry. Easy.

I thawed out some chicken and then realized that it was not in fact chicken, like I had thought, but a couple pork chops...so, I made breaded pork nuggets, how gross does that sound?! pork nuggets...ew, but really they're great. And I will be labeling things that I freeze from now on. That seems like common sense now, but apparently there was some sort of mental glitch when I bought those pork chops, and I just wrapped them for the freezer and threw them in there. Interesting.

So, I am pretty excited for life. I feel like today has just been great, doing what I want to do, being relaxed about life, but getting things done too. I like it. I like it a lot
