So...

Well, it's only been a year and 9 months since I last posted. Story of my life, ooh, this looks fun, start it, get excited, nope, too much work, I quit. BUT, my dearly loved friend told me that she loved reading my blog, so here I am! Back at it for a couple months, then I'll probably get bored again, or forget, we'll see. Anywho, thanks for the encouragement Mollz!

So, let's skip over part of that hiatus and I'll just tell you about school. Yes! School. I love school. I'm working with Sped kids at a high school, woohoo! Best kids ever, best job ever. Super excited, and soon I'll be a Sped teacher! Hoorah! Alright, that's enough with the exclamation points. I'm pretty excited though. I'm taking classes and teaching classes (sort of) and it's great. I work at a school and then I go to school. School school school. My favorite! Ok, I promise, that's the last one.

I got nothing else for you...I'm really just procrastinating my annotated bibliography homework. It's taking ages! Ok, really, that was the last one. Nope! See you later!

Where do I go from here

So, let's just start by me telling you that I have not taken one picture since I last posted about my "30 days of pictures" thing. It was fun, it was interesting, but most of my pictures turned out not as amazing as I had hoped and when I missed a few days and it seemed like I would never finish a full 30 days of taking pictures...I just gave up. Not so fun anymore. Anyway, moving on from that...

I'm graduating from college in 8 days...8 DAYS! Holy crap, it seems like it's just come up on me all of a sudden. So weird, right? And, I've been thinking a lot about what I'll do with myself. Where will my time go? Where will I go? What will I do? How the hell am I going to pay back my student loans? I need to win the lottery. I want to move out, I don't even pay my own car insurance right now, how could I ever take care of myself financially? I need to marry a rich man. Well, I'll have more time to volunteer, use my Spanish, have more experiences. I'll be able to do whatever I want, whenever I want (which I have now, so I don't know why that is such a big deal).

I've been pondering how God will use me, where I will go, what I will do. He has been teaching me so many things. Since Mexico, even before that, He was working in me and it is so exciting to realize that. It's amazing to see how God is working and how His plan has been at work in my life forever. It didn't just start, He's been there the whole way. So weird to look back and see Him in places that I didn't recognize Him before.

When I got back from Mexico I was so anxious to serve and be doing something. In Mexico we had no time to rest, busy busy busy all the time, always working, always meeting new people and helping out at the church, but when I got back, all of a sudden I had nothing to do and tons of time on my hands. Finally I realized that I needed that time to readjust to the states, to process what I had learned in Mexico, and try to apply that to my life here. And He's teaching me so many things even still. He's healing my past pains, drawing me near to him in amazing ways, providing support and love from some amazing people in my life, and it's been amazing. It is crazy to be content -ish. I'm learning to rest in the Lord, to be ok with not knowing, with just waiting and allowing Him to lead me when He wants to. I've been trying to focus more on the "now" and what God is doing at this moment, what I can learn from this situation and how I can draw closer to Him so that I can hear His voice. It's been an interesting experience to wait, to trust, not just mentally, but physically. I have so much downtime I don't know what to do with it, but I'm finding ways to be useful and not just sit on facebook, ways to seek after my Lord instead of seek after distraction like I have before. I definitely still do that, all the time. I look for distraction and something to entertain me, but I also am growing hungry for God to reveal himself to me, to know Him more, to see where He wants to take me and know His heart for the world.

I'm pretty positive that I will end up in missions. And even as that thought used to be just intellectual, I am feeling God draw my heart to that too. I desire to serve Him wherever He will lead me and to see Him work in amazing ways in amazing places! Since I've been waiting and watching, and God's been teaching and growing me, I haven't been very active. I think that I have been in a place of refinement, of learning, being prepared for what God has for me, and I'm not sure when He will call me out, but I feel like it's soon. I decided this week that I would keep my eyes open for missions opportunities and seek the Lord in them and today I received an email about an opportunity to serve overseas. (How scary is that?!) It's short term, but would be an amazing experience. I don't really know what I think about it, but I'll be seeking God's heart and if He calls me there, I'm going. Please be praying for God's discernment and guidance in it. I have no idea if and when He will call me, but I don't want to miss an opportunity, so I will be seeking my Lord.

Just some thoughts..

My first painting

Hello dear friends!

I painted art today. And it was great. This is my first painting, and I'm not sure which picture is the best, so I'll post a few so you can see it. Hope you like!

I realize the last two are pretty much the same, but you know, they're already uploaded, so...
